The sale of the United States Mint 2011 Commemorative Coins ends Friday, December 16, at 5:00 PM Eastern Time. The coins and their current prices are listed below.

2011 US Army Commemorative Coins

Three different themes are featured on the three different types of coins struck to honor the soldiers and celebrate the establishment of the United States Army.

2011 Medal of Honor Commemorative Coins

The Medal of Honor is awarded by the President to only a few exemplary military people who risked their life above and beyond the call of duty during battle or conflict. These commemorative coins celebrate and acknowledge the award and its recipients. Different artwork, featuring various designs of the award though the years, is on the gold and the silver coins.

Surcharges are included in the price of each coin. For each sale of the US Army commemoratives, the money raised will go towards the Army Historical Foundation to help finance the National Museum of the United States Army.

The surcharges of each Medal of Honor Commemorative will go to the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation for its support of the Medal of Honor recipients and promoting the values of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism.
